For those that couldn’t make it to the unveiling of the marker for the Iron Brigade at U.S. Highway 12, below are some pictures of the event.
If you are ever in the area of Prairie du Sac and Sauk City, be sure to stop at the Veterans Memorial on US Highway 12 just north of County Road PF. In addition to the Iron Brigade marker there is a huey, a tank and a plane, and plaques describing them. All are worth seeing and a great way of honoring all who have served.
