Phil Spaugy will be delivering an engaging presentation about the 19th Indiana of the Iron Brigade at The Civil War Roundtable of Milwaukee. Known for its remarkable service and bravery during the Civil War, the 19th Indiana was a vital part of the famed Iron Brigade, earning its place in history as one of the Union Army’s most celebrated units.
Steven Phan is scheduled to give an upcoming presentation on the contributions of Asian and Pacific Islanders during the Civil War at the Civil War Roundtable of Milwaukee. Dr. Pula is Professor of History Emeritus at Purdue University, former editor of Gettysburg Magazine, and author of numerous award-winning Civil War studies, including Union General Daniel Butterfield: A Civil War Biography. His scholarship has been recognized by the U.S. Army Historical Foundation, the Milwaukee County Historical Society, and the Republic of Poland.
